Children at Foxbury

Foxbury Farm Shop is situated in the centre of a working farmyard so every visit will have an element of surprise - sheep lambing, cows calving, eggs hatching or Mickey the donkey just looking for a carrot.
The farmers are always happy to answer questions while they are working and although you can’t ride on the working tractors we have our own little tractors for children to drive whilst parent’s shop or enjoy lunch!
We run a number of events where children can get involved from Easter workshops to sunflower planting, our annual farm open day to tractor and trailer rides and feeding the farm animals. Please keep an eye on our news and events page for more information. Another great where to be the first to hear about an event is via our e-newsletter. To sign up visit the homepage
Local schools and clubs often visit the farm and take a tour with the farmers which includes sausage making with the butchers.
We are very proud to be part of the learning cycle for food and farming, supplying a number of local schools with meat for the children’s school dinners as well as an after school cookery club.
If you have a cookery scheme that you would like Foxbury to be involved in or would like to bring a school visit please contact 01993 867385
We also have our own children's tableware so Foxbury Farm can be enjoyed at the dinner table. For more information click on the link located in the subsection box above news.
"Dear Di and Colin,
My name is Simon and I was the teacher involved in bringing some children to the farm today. I wanted to put in writing how grateful I am to you. Your staff made us feel incredibly welcome and the children loved the experience. It was an absoloute pleasure. Thank you for opening on your non-working day, allowing the butcher to show us how to make sausages (and we never got to say thank you to the person who cooked our samples) and our superb farm guide. It was a brilliant day and well worth travelling from Thame. I will be encouraging families in this area to make a visit to a cracking farm!!!!! Thank you"
